Camping in Austin, TX?

We want to take my brother to Austin for his b-day in August but we are too broke to pay for a hotel! We’ve got camping equipment and thought about going camping to Mc Kinney Falls park since its close to the city. Is it worth it? All suggestions are welcome!!

    im sorry no one answered your question, and have no idea about that place, as I m 1500 miles away and clicked on the wrong place.

    Here’s the link to McKinney Falls park. It’s a great park.
    Be sure to check park schedule for any closings or special events for the dates you plan on coming.

    You can look at Emma Long Metro Park here-

    Other city parks-
    You’ll have to see which ones have camping.
