If you have the proper gear (4-season tent, cookstove, thermarest, 0 degree sleeping bags or better, etc.) then go for it. Over spring break this past year we camped out next to Frisco for a couple of days. If you take the first Frisco exit (heading west) you'll come to a little roundabout. The first turn off is a private drive, 2nd is a gravel road leading to a trailhead, 3rd is the onramp back to the interstate, 4th takes you into town. Take the gravel road to the trail head, hike up about 20-30 minutes and then start looking for a flat area at least 100 ft away from the main trail. For showers, I recommend any of the fine hotels in the area that have a pool. The worst they can do is ask you to leave. if you want more info, shoot me an email
