Jane W asked:
My nephew is traveling cross country by car but are only 16 years old. So far they have been camping but would like to check into a hotel, but have little cash left and only their parents credit card.
What if a person 16 years old tried to check into a hotel room?

It depends on the hotel. They may find one to take them, but the major chains probably won’t.
im not sure but there is one way to find out …. for them to go the hotel and ask..
he would need to be accompanied by an adult,,, meaning a legal guardian… and depends if the hotels ask for an id , since the credit card is in their parents name they might have a tough time
Most vendors will not allow someone, especially a minor, to use someone else’s credit card without written permission and sometimes not even then. Best advice is to call the hotel and ask how to make the transaction work.
