Me and some friends were thinking of camping over night at a beach after our prom. we need a place that allows us to go in after 12 and allows for tents and doesnt cost too much. we want it to be close so about a 30 min drive from the park plaza hotel
Its in california. around LA
how do i make it more enjoyable for her!! she only wants 2 stay in hotels..
You know i want her to drink with me and my friends at the beach, an stay in the tent with me.. but she refuses… any suggestions!!
its only for one night an a day at this beautiful beach with really cool, mature people… we play beer pong, sing by the fires, i mean we are in japan, im not gunna buy a trailer or anything for a few nights out here. i do all the work anyways, i just ask that she be happy wit me… but as of now she JUST said she will go with me. =)
My family and I are going on a 2 week road trip this summer. we are looking to just get in the car and start driving with no particular destination in mind. we plan to take our tents with us so that when we can’t find a hotel at employee rate, we can camp. how do we know where there are cheap campsites wherever we might be? i **** the thought of paying more than $15/night to sleep in a tent. We have never camped before so any advice would be great. We are thinking of either going to the carolinas or all the way around lake michigan.
My girlfriend and I are going to do a two day hike, with one night of camping in the Adirondak Mountains from july 2nd-4th.
We are looking to do about 15-20 miles the first day, CAMP, then 15-20 miles back to our car (July 4th).
After the trip we will be celebrating the fourth of July at Long Lake, staying at the Adirondack Hotel.
I am looking for websites with realted information. I am also looking for suggestiong of trail, hikes that we should consider.
Also if there is anything we should be aware of Bears, no camp fires…
Can we leave our car overnight in all places??
Help?
Matt
I want to go on a really long (like month-long) camping trip, and I’m trying to work out every little detail I can so that everything goes right. One of my biggest dilemmas is what to do if electrical storms hit. Should I take the tent down and stay in one of the facilities on the campground until it passes? What should I do if a storm hits in the middle of the night?
Also, it wouldn’t be very practical to stay up all night whenever storms hit at night because I’m only staying at each campground for a day or two and then I pack up and leave for another campground, which in many cases is several hours away, so I must wake up really early on the morning to get on the road early enough that I’ll arrive at my next campsite in time. to set up camp before night falls again. So that’s why I can’t stay up all night whenever there’s a storm.
For budget reasons, I can’t stay in a hotel.
What do you suggest?
Also, if you have any other camping-related advice or helpful websites, I would be very thankful.
Thanks!
Im planning a trip to goto ocean city for a few days…but I dont have the money to spend on a hotel. I was thinking of buying a nice 100 dollar tent…my mom told me she used to camp at assateague island when she was a kid all the time. Whats been your experience there…is it a sketchy place to be if you wanna drink n smoke n stuff?
I’m 17 and want to take a road trip with a few friends to go camping. All the friends going are 17 but one is 18.
Are there any age restrictions to campsites like there are hotels (hotels usually require a minimum age of 25)? Will it be possible for this trip to happen without parents?
This will be in Ohio.
me and a couple of friend are planing on going to San Pedro this weekend and we wanted to camp out at the beach but i cant really find a spot to camp out at . any ideas or a really cheap hotel or motel just to spend the night
I’m used to camping in places that I can drive to, but My husband and I were trying to figure out if we could go somewhere across the country. This would mean flying, with all our camping gear or ******* it up and staying in a hotel.
Has anyone had experience flying to go camping, with a full size tent and supplies? Is this really feasible or should I get the lightweight backpackers tent? Even that would have to fit two.
I’d plan on buying all my food there, and I’m guessing I’d have to forgo my cast iron crock pot. Any other tips?
So some friends and I are planning to visit France after exams next year. By then most of us will be sixteen but there may be one or two fifteen year olds. I am a camping novice myself, but a keen bean, so I have some problems.
So we plan to get the eurostar to disneyland and get a two day pass. We wont have a car, and with no hotel I don’t have a clue what we do with our stuff/tent? Do disneyland do a service where you can pay to leave your stuff?
Right now there are a lot of us who want to go, and one of the girls has a nine man tent. Would this be cool at a campsite? The one’s I’ve looked at seem to charge per head, is this usual? Does anyone know of a site near disneyland that charges per plot/decent prices for teens?
We plan to get the train to Paris the next day and go sightseeing, and possibly one more day before we return on the eurostar. Any advice/anecdotes would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!!
