Yeah! I have never been to California but need to go so bad. I’ll fly into Oakland about 1:30p on a Saturday. I’m young, fit, and don’t mind camping a lot to cut down on expenses. I just need to know the best places to see and sleep in Yosemite and wine country. Best sights and campgrounds in Yosemite, best vineyards and cheapest accomodations in Napa and Sonoma, and anything worth doing in San Fran and Oakland. Can I avoid renting a car for this little circuit? I’m thinking two nights of “luxury” in hotels (but lets keep the rates “budget”) out of seven would be about right. Where’s the can’t-miss food at here, too?

My boyfriend and I are thinking about taking a road trip sometime this spring and are going to camp since its cheaper than a hotel. How much on average does a tent site cost at KOA per night? What about the cabins? Thanks so much!!

I guess this is part II to my original question about Muir Woods vs. Yosemite. It seems that since I have the time, Yosemite would be a good choice for next summer and the next time I am in SF, I can check out Muir Woods.

A nice clean (yet not too, too expensive) hotel would do the trick. If we were more rugged, we would try camping in a tent. Perhaps one day. Can anyone suggest a hotel at Yosemite that would be near some of the best attractions and views?

I’m on a limited budget but was wondering if there were any places people could go to around the bay area for cheap like under 100 bucks? I already live in the area – vallejo. Any nice camping places hotels?
Not camping IN San Francisco, but preferably somewhere not to far. It would be kind of nice to find a cheap cabin or something.

I’d like to go windsurfing for a few days in Rio Vista in the Sacramento Delta. Do you know a nice room or appartment to rent, or a nice hotel in the area there?
