Yes, when you crap in the woods, the trees will require a credit card before you wipe your *** with leaves.

No you don’t! They will accept cash payments and checks. You usually place it in an envelope with your address, phone, license # and you deposit it on an honor system basis or give it to the ranger.

No. contrary to popular belief you do not need a credit card to go camping. Nor do you need any money. It’s actually very simple. Take a tent and some supplies and find some woods. Boom! You’re camping! The rest is just basic survival.

Most campsites accept cash. Some parks require a credit card to make a reservation, but most will allow you do to so with a Visa / Mastercard Debit card.

Call the park / campground that you are thinking about visiting and ask what their policies are.

No, and most campgrounds can’t take a credit card at all. usually you have to deposit the money in a envelope for your spot and put it in a box at the ground enterance. BTW, many of the smaller hotels will let you pay cash, no credit card required. I’ve done that quite a bit.

BLARG! Not at any sites I go to. Maybe if your camping in the city they might require a deposit and a credit card on file. Usually you just pay a fee, get a sticker and off you go. To anwser your question not in my lifetime.

If you want to camp in a campground you will probably have to deal with credit cards and reservations etc. If you are somewhere in the western US, just go to a National Forest or BLM land and you can pretty much camp anywhere you like…..no credit cards, no reservation, no wankers camped 10 ft away. As far as I’m concerned this is a much preferable way to go especially if you are 18. Just remember to pack out your trash so someone else can enjoy it.

Go to state or federal campgrounds. Fill out the envelope. Fold up your money and place it in the envelope to pay for the number of days you intend to stay. Drop it in the slot provided on the registration box. And you’re camping….sort of. To me, real camping does not mean running water faucets, picnic tables beside conveniently provided fire-pits, and flush toilets with hot and cold showers nearby. I like my camping wild, and for that, I get off the road in the National Forest lands that abound across our continent. There are millions of acres to choose from and the price is free. I can shower when I get home….in a couple of weeks or so. ;o) Forget the plastic. That kind of camping is for sissies or for someone in very poor health. Go natural. You’ll never forget it or regret it.
