Good Hotels around Naval Training Base In Great Lakes IL?

I am going in april to my fiances graduation for boot camp and need a good hotel around the Training Base in Great Lakes! Any place you have been that is good or a place to stay away from! Thanks!!!!

    Try to find something near Great America, which is in Gurnee, not too far from Great Lakes. I’m from that area.

    Gurnee, IL has a number of fine establishments to enjoy. I believe this is the closest town to Great Lakes, so Google Holiday Express, Gurnee, IL and see what you come up with.

    i cant remember the names of them, but i do know that there are none in walking distance. the closest are like a mile away so if you dont have a car you can take a taxi to the base

    I really liked the Holiday Inn Express that my mom, cousin, and girlfriend stayed at when I graduated. I don’t think it was all that expensive either.

    Found this link on navyformoms.com… They like the Navy Lodge by the Base.

    stick to Gurnee area. also, if you are his POC, the graduation packet will also have the Navy Lodge information in it..you can stay there too, but it fills up fast.

    When I went for my husband’s graduation we stayed at Candlewood Suites in Waukegan. It was nice and very close to base. It was an extended stay type of hotel so it had really big rooms and a kitchen area. I’d recommend it.
