Has anyone been a spectator of the Tour De France? Whats the best way to watch/get some good riding in also?

Camping Hotels

Id like to watch the tour in 2007 and see a bit of every stage. Also cycle parts of the course. Does anybody have any advice as far as camping, hotels, renting an RV or car? thanks for any help.

I’ve long wondered how one watches this event live. With a car race, at least the cars come back around repeatedly; don’t they just cycle past and then that’s all you see for the day? Is that actually interesting? I’m actually being serious, I don’t understand the point of going just to watch a pack of bicycles speed past then pack up and go home. Please educate me.

Costs would be much higher than you think ! You’re talking about a race that lasts over two weeks ! Major dollars! The route changes from year to year. You’d have to get the route way in advance. And I’d guess much of it is already booked for 2007. I’d guess the route would be off limits to anyone not connected directly with the race. But you’re talking thousands of dollars for such a dream. Sorry.
