Camp Pendleton is not where they graduate..That is a Marine base located far north from where you want to be.. Use this link..It has all the information you need.. If you need more help email me.. And Marine instructors are called Drill Instructors not drill Sergeants.. I dont recommend staying on base..Its a very small base with not much going on..Its not a normal base..Its where Marines are made.. You will be in the big city..There are hotels all over the place near the depot..Like I said..Its directly behind the SD airport. It really doesnt matter whether you stay on base or not because they cant stay with you and they all have to be back from liberty at the same time. Staying off base is nice because you can go sightseeing and have a much larger variety of dining. My husband just graduated from the Marines in April. They are old WWII barrackes with central heads. NO AC!! No screens on windows! Stay in town. call best western or comfort inn 800 numbers. fly into San Diego, cheaper that way. Good luck.
