I’m going camping in a few days and I plan on bringing my guitar. What songs should I play around the fire.

Camping Hotels
CollegeStud09 asked:

I’m wondering which songs would be good ones to play while camping. There will be about 25 people there, all between the ages of 19 and 24. I want to play some classic rock songs that everyone knows the words to (such as hotel california), but my list is short. I am prety good at guitar, but my buddy, who will also be there with his guitar, is damn good at guitar. We’re trying to compile a list of songs that most of the people there will know and be able to sing along with. Any sugjestions, and I mean any, will help.

80s songs make great campfire songs. Jessie’s Girl, Summer of 69, Cheesy Rock Ballads like Every Rose Has It’s Thorn, stuff like that.
Realistically, anything with three chords that was a hit in the last 20 years is good. Stick away from Riff based songs, hit things with chords in them.

get the best of John Denver CD collection. Annie’s Song, Rocky Mountain High, and Take Me Home Country Roads are your quintessential around the fire singalong songs.

    Check out the link.

I agree on the John Denver stuff. Also, “Me and Julio”, “Brown-Eyed Girl”, “Had A Bad Day”, any Green Day. Some Eric Clapton (You’ve Got a Friend). “Sweet Caroline”, “Amy”(Pure Prarie League), “Cat in the Cradle”
