I’m planning a family vacation and would like to camp in Orlando to save $$ as we would need 2 hotel rooms(family of 7), any good campsites under $30 a night tenting. We really just need showers as we will be eating out all meals and gone from 7 or 8am – 10-11pm each day.

There are none
Walt Disney World has Fort Wilderness Campground. While it is $43 a night, you are still located on Walt Disney World property and close to all their parks and guest areas.
It may be hard to find something that cheap. I used to live in Orlando and everything is expensive there. But I think I found some sites that might help. Beware! During the summer, it rains for about an hour in the afternoon everyday! If you change your mind, let me know. I know some cheap hotels in good locations! Have fun!..Oh yea, making and packing your own lunches will save you tons of money!!
I haven’t been there in years but Turkey Lake Park is within a few miles of Universal Studio. The largest city park in Orlando at 300 acres it sits on the shores of a beautiful lake.
I see it has a new name as well.

Located in what used to be a very remote section of the county is Moss Park. Situated between two lakes (Lake Hart and Lake Mary Jane) this is Orange Counties largest park at over 1500 acres. Moss Park is just east of the airport and not far from the tourist areas you’ll want to visit.
