I would recommend Litchlake Farm campsite right opposite the main track entrance. its only got a few naff portable showers but the toilets aren't bad. its basically a field (or two lol) that the farmer hires out for race meetings. its not that cheap but its a more relaxed atmosphere than whittlebury golf club which is another option. its flat too and only takes about 5 minutes to get to the track. that's where we are going. they also have a 'market' where you can get essentials and a beer tent. also they have all the cheaper merchendise there too. there is a fairground right next to it which might entertain you. we just stay on site and drink a lot:)

ps mail me nearer the time and i'll give you a few money saving tips:)

I went to Silverstone in 2003, 2006 and 2008. Every time I went I went camping (with a load of mates) and it really is great fun. Especially in 2006 when the Alonso fans in the tent next to us set their tent on fire! We stayed in a local field about 5 mins from the circuit and it cost us £5 to stay there for the night.
