What do I bring camping for 2 days with my boyfriend?

Ok so my boyfriend lives out of town and since i live in San Diego, which all the hotel prices get jacked up to **** ME status in the summer….we decided to go camping thing is I haven’t been in yrs all i know for sure is tent-blow up bed-blankets-clothes, and im kinda lost on the food and what else?? any help would b awesome…totally not a camper and neither is he so this will either b a score or a hit and miss, haha. THANKS.

    Food and a way to prepare it.
    Most people bring a portable stove or small gas burner as well as/or a BBQ.
    If you want fresh meat, and things like fresh milk and so on, you will need a small fridge. If you do not have one of those, buy cans, prepacked ready to grill hamburgers that do not need a fridge and so on. Do not forget simple things like bread and butter, salt, pepper and sauces to go with the meat.
    And drinks, most campsite have water you can drink, but if you go out into the wild you might want some bottled water to clean your teeth.

    Clothing, bring summer clothes, but also a warmer layer, as with camping you are likely to be outside in the evening, and it always cools down, sometimes further than you would expect.

    Suntan lotion, but also mosquito repellent. And something to put on the itches when you are bitten.
    Lantern, they come with led lights now, safe and easy to use.
    Maybe a pack of cards or a board game to fill the evening.
    And if the two of you are going to play games together, remember to bring everything that the drugstore sells to keep it safe, there will not be one round the corner when you run out.
