What is a close beach that allows overnight camping?

Me and some friends were thinking of camping over night at a beach after our prom. we need a place that allows us to go in after 12 and allows for tents and doesnt cost too much. we want it to be close so about a 30 min drive from the park plaza hotel
Its in california. around LA

    Copacabana beach on the side of Lake Titicaca. Very close to the sky.
    It’s at 12 500 feet. . . . .
    Drinks are cheap.

    Camp grounds at the beaches booked up months ago. You can find a beach with fire rings that’s open till around 10pm yahoo search fire ring sites at the beach. Weekends and summer nights these get grabbed early in the morning and people claim them all day so find a volunteer to sit on one for you. I recommend Huntington Beach.
