What kind of age restrictions are there for renting hotels?

Camping Hotels
LV90 asked:

My friends and I are planning a roadtrip. The states we are considering are indiana (the dunes), Ohio (Cedar Point), and Missouri (Lake of the Ozarks). I have been told that certain states and counties have restrictions on the age you must be to rent a hotel, or camp. Any information on this is appreciated, especially in these three states.

I think you have to be at least 18, at least that’s the rule out here in California. You could also look on hotels.com and find a hotel in each state and call them and ask what the age requirement is. Hope you have a great trip

I’m pretty sure you have to be 18 in Ohio, at least that’s how it was when my friends and I used to road trip to Cedar Point.
