Weekends and summer nights these get grabbed early in the morning and people claim them all day so find a volunteer to sit on one for you. I recommend Huntington Beach. I know several men who wouldn't go camping if you paid them. I really don't think it's a gender thing, it's a genetic thing. Maybe you should identify something she would like to do and tell her that if she lets her guard down and really tries to enjoy a night of camping, that you will go do something she likes to do (that you typically don't enjoy). AND, when she does agree to go with you, make sure you invite her for a relaxing walk on the beach for just the two of you. Don't ignore her.
