I love to go on weekend trips with my 10 yr old son and sometimes a 3rd person. I usually stay in a hotel using Priceline but I thought a pop up camper or other small camper would be more fun with building a fire at night and meeting other campers, etc. I would probably want a campground with showers since I would prefer not to get too expensive a camper having a shower.
I am going in april to my fiances graduation for boot camp and need a good hotel around the Training Base in Great Lakes! Any place you have been that is good or a place to stay away from! Thanks!!!!
I keep seeing that term in regards to accomodations, but I can’t figure out what they mean. I know bed and breakfast, hostel, hotel/motel, cottage and camping, but Self Catering is a new one on me.
We’ll be spending approximately 2 or 2 weeks in Botswana in late September and I am trying to work out roughly what I should budget for accomodation, transport and food for 2 people travelling together, so I can work out how much I can afford on safari activities. We’re prepared to camp or stay in the cheapest hotels, and eat basic food. This is part of an overland trip from Malawi to South Africa. Many thanks for any assistance. I’d really love to hear from anyone who’s done this!
I want to go to Wildwood in mid August with some friends…don’t want to spend much on the hotel, so the cheaper the better. I don’t know how many are going yet – anywhere from 4-10, so we might all try to cram in one room or get 2. But looking them up online only tells you so much so if you know of a good place to stay that is very cheap, let me know! Not picky at all, I’d just take a tent and camp out on the beach if they’d let us!
Yeah I’ve been to Wildwood/Cape May probably 7 times before…it’s a bit seedy but I live in upstate NY so it’s only a 4 hour drive and the beaches are decent, waves are decent. I’m only 21 and the only time I’ve gone without my family was last year I went with some friends, but we planned it very late and only could get this one hotel right on the beach that was about $190 a night, and it was a really seedy hotel. Very nice lobby but the rooms were small and it was just old and not nearly worth that price.
My nephew is traveling cross country by car but are only 16 years old. So far they have been camping but would like to check into a hotel, but have little cash left and only their parents credit card.
What if a person 16 years old tried to check into a hotel room?
my partner and i are backpacking but cant decide if it is more cost effective to drive in a wicked camper from cairns to sydney, or get the greyhound bus passes and stay in hostels? any ideas thanks
I’ve come into some money and would like to buy or start some kind of motorcycle related store, factory, company or rental thing. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thinks big.
Think small.
Think wacky and cool.
Be creative.
I like sport bikes, touring bikes, hotels (not camping), motorcycle classes, restaurants, trailers, Ducati, Buell, Suzuki and scooters, but I don’t know what all other people have done.
What would YOU open?
I was wondering what the approximate cost of a roadtrip across the country would be. We would be setting out in Maryland and going the northern route to Cali and then taking the southern route back. Of course, we want to keep it cheap. We’d most likely be camping, eating out of a cooler, fishing once in a while, and not sleeping in any hotels. So with gas, about how much do you think it would cost?
Also, how long do you think it would take if we wanted to stop and see the sights? I was figuring 3 to 5 weeks.
Yes, I understnad about gas milage and all that but I am just looking for an approimate amount. Would $3,000 be enough? Or would we need $5,000?
okay so next winter (08-09) me and some friends were looking to do a road trip to go skiing in Summit County. we specifically want to focus on Arapahoe Basin but will probably spend two days at other local areas (vail, keystone, etc.) to save money we decided that we would just camp instead of stay in a hotel. or the second option is rent a U-haul and live out of the back of that. does anyone know the good places to camp (not in an official camp site) that are a little out of the way but not far from the road or the ski places? and are there any restrictions to camping in the forests around there?
